Eastergate Village Hall – Fundraiser for Improved Kitchen Facilities – We Need Your Help!

Dear All,

I am sure you are aware of the success of our weekly Community Tuesday Coffee Morning’s (up to 80 attendees), the War Memorial ‘After Party” (over 300 attendees), the now regular Film Evenings/Matinee’s (over 70 attendees) and the New Year’s Day Brunch (over 100 attendees!!!!).

I have started a CrowdFunding Page through West Sussex Crowd with a project aimed at improving our kitchen facilities to cater for our ever growing Community need.

Our current kitchen is very lovely but we are getting busier and busier.  After the New Year’s Day Brunch success with so many of our neighbours enjoying the first meal of the year together, I feel our Community needs a monthly brunch – catering for over 100 is very difficult on a 4 burner electric hob.  My dream is to one day hold a Christmas Day lunch for the lonely and isolated – nobody should eat alone on such a day.  To achieve this I need your help!

My plan is to install a 6 ring gas hob and another double oven.  A very clever kitchen installer has suggested fitting a new work surface to our current ‘Island’ with fold down sides – this will enable more work surface space when we are holding a community event.  This will also make the hall more useable for other events such as weddings, parties, pop up Supper Clubs and even cooking courses.

I need to raise £4627.00 to make this project possible.  Today we have had a huge pledge of £710.00!  Please can you help?  It doesn’t matter how small the amount – every penny counts.  Please speak to your club members.  Those of you who use the hall will benefit massively from these changes.

Please share this information with everyone you know – this is for your Community.

As with any opportunity possible – I wish to thank all of the volunteers who have helped make this situation possible.  Only 15 months ago our village hall was under used and such events really did not seem a reality.  It just proves together we are so much stronger.

Many thanks.

Kind regards,
